The creep factor in this facility is quite high due to deterioration and uncleanliness...bathrooms covered with cobwebs, ammonia smells, dirty faucets, etc. Lots of dust and leaves, no host or personnel around after hours. The only Wi-Fi is a "hotspot" in the laundry which is cold and dark. The reason I gave it a "3" is because the cable is good. Noise from the highway is loud due to 45 mph near this campground (30 mph in town). I overheard the owner state that this campground is the oldest in Moab. I cannot dispute that statement.

There were a very noisy group of ATV people in park, taking up the entire park. They stayed up til all hours. The WiFi is pretty much non existent so that was a problem. We will not stay here next time.

It is a nice park. We stayed for 4 nights. The WiFi is iffy occasionally. We would stay here again.

the grass has turned to weeds, and dying grass. It would be better to go total gravel in such a hot, dry place. The price is too expensive for the park, plus for the first time, I was charged for my pet. I will probably not come by here again, and will pick another park if we need to stop over in Green River.

I have to say that this park was a Godsend as we had planned on camping up at Great Basin National Park and were skunked-out (no reservations up there) so relied on Whispering Elms. It was very old and basic, but did what we needed: gave us a place to stay while we explored the National Park. BTW, while driving up to the National Park be sure and notice all the clever decor against all the fence lines.

Nice park for bird watching and staying out in the wide open spaces. Has restaurant and small store. Friendly staff. On the way to the Steens Mts and Frenchglen.

Older park with many permanent modular homes but it is very clean and well run. Friendly people who were very helpful. Bathrooms are clean and have individual toilets, showers, sinks in the room which is very nice. Plenty of wonderful shade. Worth the drive off of I-84 in my opinion.

As stated previously this is a regular KOA and is busy...we found the campground suited our one nite stay needs. There is an odor of cattle but it was not bad during our stay, and I should point out that you are camping in the middle of farming/grain growing country with lots of pastures around. The cattle are a natural part of life there. We would stay there again. We especially enjoyed the doggie park, very cute.

This RV park is a wonderful park in Mountain Home. They have very friendly people who are quite helpful. They are fixing things up and do not have all the sites up and running. There is a beautiful entrance with plenty of roses. They need more shade and then they will get a "10" from me!

This is probably one of the worst campgrounds we have stayed at, mainly because they only had room for us on their "terrace" I use that description lightly. it is their parking lot, dump site and place to leave trucks, run down RVs ,etc. You can see the Sawtooth's from up on the "terrace" but do not under any circumstances get a spot there. the restrooms were very dirty, never cleaned while we were there. The Wi-Fi was iffy. we asked for a refund so we could move but they refused. We left anyway. I do not recommend this place. Unfortunately there are few RV parks in the area...you might try one attached to a motel in town or try Sawtooth City. It would be better to stay at any of the lakes in the forest service sites. Good luck.

Good clean park as stated above but too pricey for the amenities...(none) and no people on site in the office for much of the time. They are available by phone but it limits the secure feeling. The price should be about $20.00.

We made a big mistake camping here, it is the only one available but not worth the time or the money. The owners are ill and unable to manage this big place any longer. Way over priced. They need to sell it and get a make over. The city of Leadville is a nice stop over and they have a wonderful 11 mile bike/run loop through the old mining area.

This campground has new owners and they are doing a great job in modernizing the place. They need to work on the bathrooms, the doors do not lock and they are opaque glass...the bathrooms are old and need remodeled. The freeway noise can be partly canceled out with your fan or a/c. We camped here in the 90s and there is much improvement.

We would camp here again, but there is not much to do in the area. Nice stopover with a friendly staff.

Our family really enjoyed this campground. There are permanents here but it is a clean park, not trashy like some. The office staff are very warm and friendly, however they were training a new woman at the desk and she was a bit brittle to the customers. The WiFi works best in the rec center. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

This is a brand new state park near the City of Rocks climbing area. it is shiny new and clean. it is a bit of a drive to the City of Rocks National Park but well worth it. the town has a small store and the Information Center for the National Park. The only draw back was the drive in, 5 miles of road repair.

As stated previously, wonderful community RV park, great walking/bike trail. Nearby bird refuge, beautiful waterfront site. Do agree that office is not covered frequently and signs not changed. We pulled in and found the park "full" sign up but it was really 1/2 empty after Mem. Day. We will make a reservation and return to this beautiful park.

This campground has a high review rating. it is expensive but includes the cost of the huge swimming area (thermal) which is nice. The cable, although stated as existing is really non existent as the reception is very poor to no picture at all. I understand they bring the cable from the Lodge to the campground. They need better cable. There is also very poor service/poor communication between the campground and the lodge where a camper must register.

This campground is old and rundown however the view and beach walking is outstanding and more than makes up for it. We know the campground is being sold, and possibly made into a campground for people who want to purchase a site permanently. The hosts are wonderful and may or may not stay.

This is a wonderful Oregon State Park that has many many activities for families especially on and in the lake. it is a huge lake, with lots of waterskiing, boarding, etc. It can get very crowded at the boat ramps so bring you patience. summer reservations are a must. Shoulder season is more flexible and quieter.

Beautiful sites on/near Lava Lake and Little Lava Lake. Sites are close together. there is a small store and boats for rent. Lots to do: hiking, mountain biking, fishing. The view is beautiful, and numerous wildlife.

This is a beautiful park attached to a motel. The staff is very friendly. However the park is currently being torn up and access is difficult. I also think squeezing our 30 foot 5th into a back in was very difficult. It is close to town and all restaurants, etc. Lovely town with lots to do (shopping, site seeing, opportunities to hike, fish and golf).

Forest service campground with beautiful Mckenzie River rushing by. Lots of bicycles, kids, pets. very fun. river rafters going by. Need to reserve 9-12 months in advance to obtain a river site. Highly recommended.
